Job summary

Fitch Ratings, Inc. is seeking an Analyst to join the Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) Group in our New York or Chicago office.

The role collaborates with more senior analysts on transaction analysis, runs models, and assesses credit risk and cash flow coverage for RMBS transactions. You will present reviews at rating committees, develop understanding of legal and accounting issues affecting securities, and contribute to research reports and press releases, with a focus on

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree at minimum.
1–3 years of relevant experience (excluding internships).
Experience in capital markets, securitization/structured products, mortgage markets, and/or credit analysis is a plus.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Analyze critical credit, legal, and structural elements of non-agency RMBS transactions.
Produce internal and external written reports, including credit committees, criteria, special reports, and market commentary.
Communicate Fitch rating methodology and criteria to issuers and investors.
Deployment and implementation of cash flow models and tools used in the rating process.
Lead and/or support research projects.
