Job summary

Fitch Ratings, Chicago, seeks a Senior Analyst in the RMBS group to analyze credit, legal, and structural elements of non-agency RMBS and to run cash-flow models for rating decisions.

You will prepare internal and external reports, present at committees, and contribute to research papers and market commentary. A bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years’ experience are required, with strong communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in capital markets, securitization/structured products, mortgage markets, or credit analysis is a plus.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze critical credit, legal, and structural elements of non-agency RMBS transactions.
• Produce quality internal and external written reports, including credit committees, criteria, special reports, and market commentary.
• Communicate Fitch rating methodology and criteria to issuers and investors.
• Deployment and implementation of cash flow models and tools used in the rating process.
• Lead and/or support research projects.
