Job summary

Santander is seeking an Enterprise Risk Management Associate to support RCSA testing and risk assessment activities in the United States. The role is part of the Second Line of Defense and collaborates with risk owners to ensure adherence to risk frameworks and policies.

The incumbent will identify key risks, develop KRIs/KPIs, assist with remediation, and help drive risk management practices across the assigned business line, partnering with internal and external stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in risk management, internal controls, auditing, or regulatory functions (required).
• Experience supporting risk projects across multiple business lines in financial services (required).
• Experience collaborating with internal/external service providers to meet resource needs (required).
• Strong knowledge of banking regulatory environment and risk management practices (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Drive risk culture awareness within the business line.
• Develop metrics and deliver data to stakeholders.
• Identify risks, causes, severity, and controls across the line.
• Review and input risk frameworks, policies, and standards with SLoD.
• Support risk initiatives: risk assessments, KRIs/KPIs, remediation.
• Coordinate internal control testing and validate control effectiveness.
• Liaise with regulators, Internal Audit, and risk exams.
• Document KPI framework details (metric types, sources, thresholds).
