Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Risk & Disputes Intern to analyze card and ACH disputes and support our fraud/risk and disputes teams. This paid internship runs full-time Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm Central Time, with opportunities for advancement within a fast‑growing fintech environment.

You will investigate disputes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to improving loss prevention processes while gaining hands-on experience with AI tools like Claude.

Responsibilities

• Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and resolve within allowed timeframes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with fraud and disputes teams to determine next steps on a case-by-case basis.
• Investigate individual transactions using internal policies to identify patterns or trends.
• Understand our systems and tools; analyze account patterns through data.
• Work with analysts, data scientists and engineering to improve loss prevention mechanisms, processes and tools.
• Learn and maintain strong domain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
• Maintain or exceed SLAs for timely resolution of queued cases to minimize losses.
• Handle escalations professionally from internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent LLM tools to leverage AI for productivity.
