Sezzle is seeking a Risk & Disputes Intern to analyze and respond to card and ACH disputes, working with fraud and disputes teams in a dynamic environment. This paid internship offers opportunities for growth while you contribute to loss prevention strategies and process improvements.

The role requires full-time availability Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm Central Time, with a compensation of $800 USD per month as an independent contractor.

Responsibilities

• Investigate disputed card, debit, and ACH transactions and resolve within SLAs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with fraud and disputes teams on case-specific next steps.
• Analyze transactions using internal policies to identify patterns or trends.
• Understand systems and tools; examine account patterns via data analysis.
• Work with analysts, operations, data scientists and engineering to improve loss prevention processes.
• Build domain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
• Maintain SLAs for timely resolution of queued cases to minimize losses.
• Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders professionally.
• Utilize Claude or similar LLM tools to enhance productivity and research.
