Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day‑to‑day steel fabrication and assembly operations on a multi‑shift basis.

This on‑site, salaried role focuses on safety, production, scheduling, and continuous improvement while developing capabilities in budgeting, HR fundamentals, and capital project execution. The successful candidate will manage frontline supervision, advance quickly to higher‑level leadership, and participate in a program that includes travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 6+ years’ manufacturing leadership experience
• Supervisory/management experience across multiple functional areas
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and cost control in manufacturing
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
• Strong leadership to support divisional objectives and drive results
• Willingness to travel 10–15% and relocate as required
• Six Sigma or continuous improvement exposure is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead multi‑shift production and safety, quality, and production goals
• Follow an intensive training plan in troubleshooting, budgeting, forecasting, HR, and capital execution
• Identify best practices, perform lean audits and kaizen events
• Progress toward higher‑level site leadership roles with P&L responsibilities
• Travel to other Valmont sites to share best practices and support other sites
