Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead hourly production staff, ensure safety and quality, and manage shift operations. The role focuses on meeting production schedules, controlling costs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, extensive experience in manufacturing or logistics, and proficient use of MS Office tools. The position reports to the Operations Manager and requires adherence to company safety policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 5+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 7+ years relevant experience or 9+ years of relevant experience
• Five (5) years of experience in manufacturing or logistics/distribution environment
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to support divisional objectives
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and manuals

Responsibilities

• Monitor employee performance to ensure safety policies are followed
• Implement and assign work schedules to maximize utilization of manpower, machines, and equipment
• Define expected production standards and monitor performance
• Observe personnel to ensure proper operation of work and equipment
• Ensure inspection checks and quality assurance to produce high-quality products
• Promote continuous productivity improvement and lean initiatives
