Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Special Education RISE teacher in Brownsville, TX, to educate students with diverse disabilities across core subjects and adapt instruction to maximize outcomes. You will also support families, implement IEPs, and collaborate with staff to ensure a stable, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and valid Texas Special Education certification; experience with significant disabilities is preferred, with robust family engagement

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution (required).
• Experience in a Special Education classroom with students having significant disabilities (strongly preferred).
• Licenses or Certifications: Valid Texas state certification in Special Education; appropriate core certification(s).

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs.
• Develop IEPs for a caseload and implement and track progress.
• Collaborate with families and school staff to support student achievement.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and administrators about progress.
