Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Special Education RI​SE teacher to serve students with diverse disabilities. The role involves adapting lessons, implementing IEPs, coordinating related services, and tracking student progress throughout the school year.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas special education certification, have experience with IEP processes, and can engage families to support long-term student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Special Education classroom with significant disabilities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum and instruction for diverse learners.
• Ability to implement IEPs and track student progress.
• Excellent communication with families and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs and implement IEPs.
• Coordinate related services and develop IEPs for a caseload.
• Track progress and update gradebooks and reports weekly.
• Engage families and support transitions after graduation.
• Lead with a clear behavior management plan aligned to campus initiatives.
