IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Special Education RISE Co-Teacher to work with students in K-12 and support daily living and vocational skill development. The role focuses on a functional curriculum and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a high‑support, low‑ratio setting.

Qualifications

• Education: At least 48 college hours required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Experience with cognitive/developmental disabilities preferred.
• Licenses: Willingness to pursue Special Education certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and social development of students under supervision.
• Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans and monitor progress.
• Support students inside and outside the classroom to participate in activities.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, social workers, and therapists.
• Maintain student records with classroom teachers.
• Support students with emotional or behavioral concerns and social skills.
• Assist with daily living activities as needed in Life Skills Unit.
