Job summary

Encore is seeking a Rigging Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee rigging operations across assigned venues in the United States. You will review rigging designs, ensure safety standards, manage staffing, and coordinate with internal teams, clients, and sales.

The role requires leadership of a rigging team and compliance with Encore SOP. Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of rigging experience in entertainment settings, with strong CAD skills, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre or equivalent preferred.
• ETCP Arena or Theatre certification preferred.
• 4+ years rigging experience in entertainment/theatre/production environment.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings.
• 2+ years managing rigging teams (10+ riggers preferred).
• Lift operation experience with current lift certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise riggers on show site and staff development.
• Identify staffing needs and support recruiting efforts.
• Provide rigging safety compliance information and site inspections.
• Perform load calculations and approve production loads for shows.
• Review and approve rigging designs using CAD tools.
• Define workforce needs and gear requirements per event.
• Attend production site visits and advise on SOP adherence.
• Collaborate with venue leadership on safety and SOPs.
