Job summary

Patterson-UTI is seeking an experienced Rig Manager to lead safety, operations and crew on our on-site drilling rig. You will oversee all drilling activities, maintenance planning, and interface with customers and vendor representatives to ensure equipment readiness and performance.

Responsibilities include supervising the rig crew, planning daily operations with the Driller and Customer, and driving continuous improvement in safety, efficiency and cost control while working a 14/14 rotation and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3 years of rig-based work experience.
• 1 year of experience as a Driller.
• Experience as a Driller or Rig Manager on AC/VFD style rigs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to ensure safety of all onsite personnel.
• Supervision, direction and training of drilling rig crew members, including safety procedures.
• Manage rig operations, production, maintenance, costs and personnel to meet business objectives.
• Understand CRI criteria and drive continual rig/equipment improvement.
• Plan daily rig operations with Driller and Customer representative.
• Lead pre- and post-tour meetings and crew fit-for-duty evaluations.
• Read/write emails and prepare daily rig paperwork and reports.
