Job summary

Patterson-UTI Drilling Company, LLC is seeking a Motorhand to ensure equipment operates reliably, perform routine repairs, and support rig operations on a rotating 14/14 schedule. The role involves overseeing Floorhands, assisting Derrickhand and Driller, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards on a heavy drilling rig.

Candidates should have experience as a Motorhand on drilling rigs, be able to lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to complete duties of a Floorhand
• Ability to maintain and repair various equipment, engines, and machinery
• Clear English reading, writing and speaking abilities to follow instructions

Responsibilities

• Lift and place slips and assist with rigging during tour shifts
• Inspect, maintain, and repair generators, equipment, and hydraulic/electrical systems
• Off-load materials and assist in rig up/down and daily drilling operations
• Train and oversee Floorhands on the rig floor and monitor safety procedures
• Perform daily maintenance log entries and ensure compliance with log sheets and maintenance records
