Job summary

Patterson-UTI is seeking a highly experienced Rig Manager to lead daily rig operations, supervise all rig crew, and coordinate drilling activities. You will ensure safety, manage maintenance, and optimize performance while communicating with customers and third parties.

Responsibilities include planning rig moves, directing drilling operations, mentoring crew, and maintaining equipment. The role requires travel on 14/14 rotations and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of drilling experience as Driller.
• 1+ years of Rig Manager experience with PTEN.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to travel on a 14 on/14 off rotation and work 12.5 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to ensure safety of all onsite personnel and working incident-free.
• Supervise drilling rig crew and ensure compliance with safety and operating procedures.
• Manage rig operations, production, maintenance, costs and personnel to meet business objectives.
• Plan and supervise rig moves including rig up/down procedures.
• Complete daily rig paperwork and correspondence; communicate with Customer representatives.
• Fill in for Driller or other rig-based positions as needed.
• Promote an inclusive work environment and resolve team concerns.
