Job summary

Patterson-UTI Drilling Company, LLC is seeking a Rig Manager to oversee all daily rig operations and supervise the crew on site. Qualifications

• Must lift/carry and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to climb stairs and work at heights.
• Must read, write and speak English and communicate clearly.
• Flexible to irregular sleep patterns and shifts.
• Willing to travel on 14 days on/14 days off rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to ensure safety of all onsite personnel with goal of working incident-free.
• Supervision, direction and training of drilling rig crew members including compliance with all safety and operational procedures.
• Management of rig operations, production, maintenance, costs and personnel to meet business objectives.
• Understand CRI criteria and strive for continual improvement by inspecting and maintaining rig and equipment.
• Foster productive partnership with Customer representatives.
• Plan daily rig operations with Driller and Customer representatives.
• Lead pre- and post-tour meetings including crew fit-for-duty evaluations.
• Fill in for Driller or other rig-based employees as needed.
• Read/write emails and prepare daily rig paperwork including status reports.
