Six Flags Great America & Hurricane Harbor is seeking an Intern Rides Unit Supervisor who will lead a ride crew, participate in training, and assist with events throughout the season. You will gain leadership skills while ensuring guest safety, enforcing ride policies, and supporting with ride operations and fast lane activities.

The role emphasizes completion of ride certifications and leadership training, with opportunities to shadow supervisors and department staff.

Formación

• Must be able to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays where at least 50% of availability includes closing shifts.
• Must possess above average communication skills.
• Must react well in stressful and emergency situations.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 5 hours at a time and as many as 16 hours a day.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude.
• Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others.

Responsabilidades

• Attend required Human Resources Discovery, Rides Department training, and specific ride training.
• Provide courteous greetings and answer Guest questions; respond to and resolve Guest comments.
• Ensure Guest safety and satisfaction during their visit.
• Enforce rider restrictions and monitor height requirements.
• Assist with pairing single riders and grouping for greater capacity.
• Maintain and update the Daily Operations Report and hourly throughput readings.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain control until a supervisor arrives.
• Monitor Park policies on line jumping and smoking.
• Assist with downtime, evacuation, and ride restarts as needed.
• Facilitate Fast Lane program and work at participating rides.
• Train and certify Team Members; shadow higher roles as needed.
• Complete ride certifications and participate in Leadership Training Programs.
