Job summary

Six Flags Great America & Hurricane Harbor is seeking dedicated Ride Operators to ensure a fun and safe experience on our diverse rides. You will greet guests, follow safety procedures, and monitor rider restrictions to maintain high standards of safety and service.

The role requires standing for long periods, working outdoors in varying weather, and completing iROC certification and ride tests. The ideal candidate is energetic, team-oriented, and able to work weekends or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16.
• Flexible weekends/holidays required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
• Ability to read/speak English.
• Able to operate a handheld scanner (2.5 lb) for several hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate ride controls and monitor safety lights during ride cycles.
• Provide courteous guest service and answer questions.
• Enforce height requirements and rider restrictions for safety.
• Assist with line management and crowd flow at busy times.
• Complete ride certification tests and iROC training as required.
• Report unsafe acts to Supervisors and maintain ride areas clean.
