Job summary

Adventureland in Altoona, IA is seeking a Rides Supervisor to assist the Rides Manager in supervising the rides Host team and ensuring safe, efficient operation of park rides. The role includes auditing safety policies, maintaining guest experiences, and covering ride positions as needed.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of supervisory experience in a theme park environment and must complete the iROC certification as part of training. Flexible scheduling, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of supervisory experience in rides or similar
• No formal education requirement is stated
• 1+ season of rides department experience required
• All Rides Hosts must complete the iROC course during training

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the Rides team
• Lead by example and mentor Hosts
• Backfill essential ride positions when needed
• Participate in hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline
• Ensure meal and other breaks comply with Iowa law
• Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping
