Job summary

Adventureland Resort in Altoona, IA seeks a Rides Maintenance Technician to inspect and repair amusement rides and related systems to ensure safe operations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and work with a team across departments to keep attractions running smoothly.

A high school diploma and 1–2 years of maintenance experience are required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–2 years maintenance or mechanical experience preferred.
• Experience with rides or amusement attractions is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-opening inspections of rides and property.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues and respond to trouble calls.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs (electronics, plumbing, carpentry).
• Tear down and reassemble machines and equipment.
• Read ride maintenance manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized shops and work areas.
