Job summary

Adventureland Park in Altoona, IA is looking for a friendly Ride Operator (18+) to supervise and operate rides, greet guests, and ensure safety during daily operations. You will verify height and age requirements, assist guests with loading, and respond quickly in emergencies while maintaining positive guest interactions.

No formal education is required and training through the iROC course is provided at no cost.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old per Iowa child labor laws.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, safety-focused service.
• Operate rides and monitor safety restraints.
• Conduct pre-opening ride inspections and post-ride checks.
• Assist guests with loading and manage loading flow.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and follow safety procedures.
