Job summary

Adventureland Park in Altoona, IA seeks a Ride Operator (18+) to supervise and assist with park rides, ensuring guest safety and exceptional service across the attraction. Duties include inspections, ride testing, and clear communication with guests.

Excellent guest service mindset is required, with opportunities to interact with guests of all ages. Flexible scheduling and a safety-oriented work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirement.
• No previous experience is required.
• Must complete the International Ride Operator Certification (iROC) course during training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with guests in a fun, professional manner.
• Interact with guests of all ages and provide excellent service.
• Follow Adventureland Resort safety regulations and ride procedures.
• Operate assigned ride or attraction per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform morning inspections and test rides before opening.
• Maintain safe load, monitor guests, and enforce height/age requirements.
• Report ride issues and mechanical faults promptly to management.
• Provide directions and assist with guest questions during the day.
