Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking an engineer to redesign and develop ride and show control systems, improving reliability and safety for park attractions. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, fault analysis, and coordinating with Engineering and Operations during downtime recovery.

You will manage design-to-installation projects, generating documentation, test procedures, and status updates, while applying electrical standards and safety guidelines across diverse teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related field.
  • 3+ years in control systems and PLC-based installations; fault analysis and downtime support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide design solutions to improve ride and show system reliability, safety and serviceability.
  • Troubleshoot electromechanical systems and support downtime recovery.
  • Manage projects from design through installation, including schedules and budgets.
  • Create engineering docs and test procedures per standards.
  • Coordinate status updates with attraction management and engineering teams.
  • Perform engineering calculations for electrical and control systems.
  • Follow safety policies in EH&S responsibilities.
