Job summary

Universal Orlando is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to redesign and develop mechanical/structural systems for theme park rides and attractions, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational improvements. You will support downtime recovery, troubleshooting, and test/start-up activities per industry standards and codes.

The role requires leading engineering tasks, coordinating with ride supervisors and vendors, and maintaining documentation in Maximo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in mechanical/structural civil engineering.
• 7+ years of project engineering experience in mechanical/structural systems.
• Experience with design for ride and show systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design modifications to Ride & Show systems to improve safety and reliability.
• Manage design through installation, including scheduling, testing, and budgeting.
• Prepare scope of work documents and acceptance tests for modifications.
