Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking an experienced electrical/controls engineer to redesign and improve ride and show systems for enhanced reliability and safety. You will troubleshoot electromechanical systems, support downtime recovery, and coordinate with operations and engineering teams to implement solutions.

The role requires hands-on engineering design, documentation, and training of staff on controls equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in control systems for theme park or equivalent environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide and implement design solutions to improve ride and show systems for reliability and safety.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical systems and support downtime recovery during operations.
• Maintain documentation of control software and hardware configurations per guidelines.
• Generate test procedures and conduct maintenance training on controls equipment.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with vendors and partners.
