Job summary

Cedar Point is seeking a Supervisor of Ride Maintenance to lead a union crew of mechanics in the ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and repair of park rides and attractions. The role includes supervising, training, planning work, and coordinating with other departments to ensure safe operations.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in a supervisory role, knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and proficiency with common maintenance software.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/technical training preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use meters, gauges, measuring devices, cutting torch, and mechanic's tools.
• Experience with Maintenance Connection, UKG, JDE, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
• Ability to pass a mandatory drug test per company policy.
• Ability to pass a background check (age 18+) per policy.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in performing and leading assigned crew in monitoring, maintenance and repair of rides and attractions.
• Supervises subordinate crew members with the foreperson, including training, scheduling and planning work and timekeeping.
• Reviews subordinates' work and maintains a motivated staff through performance programs.
• Develops and implements ride maintenance/repair plans and winter overhaul and preventive maintenance.
• Assists in preparing the department budget and with ordering parts while maintaining inventory.
• Ensures safe operation and maintenance of all equipment; conducts safety meetings and inspections.
• Hires candidates for open positions to grow the assigned team.
