Job summary

Cedar Point is seeking a Supervisor of Ride Maintenance to lead a union crew of mechanics in monitoring, maintaining, and repairing rides and attractions. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to company standards, with responsibilities across planning, training, and performance oversight.

The position requires leadership experience, technical skills in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/technical training preferred.
• 1–3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems; able to use meters, gauges, measuring devices, cutting torch, mechanic's tools, and other hand and power tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Maintenance Connection, UKG, and JDE preferred.
• Ability to pass a mandatory drug test and background check as per policy.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading assigned crew in maintenance and repair of rides and attractions.
• Supervise subordinate crew with training, scheduling, directing, reviewing, planning, and coordinating work; track timekeeping in Cedar Point system.
• Review subordinates' work for effectiveness and maintain a trained, motivated staff; communicate expectations and enforce standards.
• Develop and implement short/long-range ride maintenance plans; assist with winter overhaul and year-long preventive maintenance.
• Assist Area Manager in preparing department budget; help with ordering parts and maintaining inventory.
• Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of all equipment; conduct safety meetings and inspections.
• Hire candidates for open positions and ensure proper onboarding and readiness.
