Job summary

Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH seeks a Supervisor of Ride Maintenance to lead a Union mechanics crew in monitoring, maintaining and repairing rides and attractions. You will supervise daily operations and ensure safety and reliability.

The role includes planning preventive maintenance, coordinating with other departments, assisting with budgeting, and hiring new team members. On-site work and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to use meters, gauges, cutting torch and hand/power tools.
• Experience with maintenance software like Maintenance Connection, UKG and JDE.

Responsibilities

• Assists in performing and leading assigned crew in monitoring, maintenance and repair of rides and attractions as assigned.
• Supervises subordinate crew members with the assistance of the foreperson; includes training, scheduling, directing, and planning work.
• Reviews subordinates' work for effectiveness and efficiency; maintains a trained, motivated staff through performance programs.
• Develops and implements short/long range ride maintenance/repair plans; assists in winter overhaul and preventive maintenance.
• Assists Area Manager in preparing department budget and inventory management.
• Ensures proper maintenance and safe operating condition of all assigned equipment and conducts safety meetings.
