Job summary

Cedar Point in Ohio is seeking a Supervisor of Ride Maintenance to lead a union crew of mechanics in monitoring, maintaining, and repairing rides and attractions. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to company guidelines during all operations.

You will assist the Area Manager, help plan preventive maintenance, manage parts inventory, and mentor staff. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required to meet park needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 1–3 years supervisory/leadership experience.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to pass drug and background checks where allowed by law.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned union crew in monitoring, maintenance and repair of rides and attractions.
• Supervise subordinate crew with foreperson; train, schedule, assign, review and plan work; maintain standards; manage timekeeping.
• Review subordinates' work for effectiveness and ensure accountability and safety.
• Develop and implement short/long-range ride maintenance plans; assist in winter overhaul and year-long PM.
• Assist Area Manager with budget preparation; help order parts and maintain inventory.
• Ensure safe operating condition of equipment; conduct safety meetings and inspections; handle guest/associate concerns.
• Hire candidates for open positions and ensure proper onboarding.
