Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Receiver for its Distribution Center in Rhode Island to process incoming merchandise using RF scanners, unload trailers, and inspect items for damage.

You will follow safety, quality, and productivity standards, complete daily productivity sheets, and help maintain accurate inventory records. Training will be provided on equipment and processes, with OSHA-related expectations clearly communicated.

Qualifications

• English reading and writing required; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Prior experience is welcomed, but not required; training provided on equipment and processes.
• OSHA safety knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete and submit daily productivity sheets.
• Receive and sort merchandise with RF scanner to update inventory and report shortages or damages.
• Verify freight accuracy by inspecting samples.
• Build pallets correctly with no overhang or height violations.
• Follow SOPs, audit controls, and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area meeting safety and productivity standards.
