Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Receiver for our Distribution Center in North Kingstown, RI. This on-site, full-time role utilizes RF scanning to manage merchandise intake and inventory while complying with safety standards.

Responsibilities include unloading, inspecting freight, and ensuring accurate documentation; training provided. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate powered equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and communicates effectively in English (Spanish preferred).
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to operate industrial powered equipment and attain any required licensing.
• Prior experience welcomed but not required; training provided on equipment and processes.
• Follows OSHA and safety regulations and maintains compliance.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete and submit daily productivity sheets.
• Receive and sort merchandise into warehouse inventory using RF scanner.
• Verify freight accuracy by inspecting samples of each product.
• Ensure pallets are built properly with no overhang or height restrictions.
• Work in compliance with SOPs, audit-control procedures, and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace meeting safety and productivity standards.
