Job summary

Price Rite - Receiver (PRRC) in Chicopee, MA is seeking a capable Receiver to safely and efficiently manage back-room receiving, inventory and stock organization.

You will handle damaged items, verify invoices, greet customers, and support store operations while adhering to safety and QA standards. This role offers growth opportunities and cross-training within the Ocean State Job Lot family.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak English proficiently and understand instructions.
• Perform basic math operations accurately.
• Stand and walk for entire shift; tolerate varying temperatures.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist shoppers.
• Work cooperatively with others to meet store goals.
• Follow safety procedures and use equipment properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in back room.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grocery storage area for cleanliness and readiness for next shift.
• Handle damaged items or returns per policy, prioritizing perishables.
• Verify invoices for accuracy regarding cost, price and quantity.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote current promotions to customers and assist with sales.
• Follow safety regulations when operating equipment and handling products.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and proper sanitation standards.
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise as required.
