Job summary

RTX is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer for its Effector RF Design Department in the Tucson area. You will join a multi-disciplinary team to develop RF products, create 3D CAD models and drawings, and coordinate fabrication and integration of prototype hardware.

You will participate in design reviews and learn from mentors to grow in aerospace engineering. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, collaboration, and adherence to mechanical engineering standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field (start date)
• Coursework or experience in manufacturing/design, thermodynamics/heat transfer, vibrations, materials, mechatronics, statics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating in a multi-discipline team to solve complex engineering problems
• Creating 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF product designs
• Developing prototype hardware and coordinating fabrication
• Performing hands-on integration and test support for prototype hardware
• Holding design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts
