Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks an RF Mechanical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to design and test RF systems, antennas, and related hardware. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team to develop CAD models, prototype hardware, and coordinate fabrication for hands-on project experiences.

The role emphasizes collaboration, learning from mentors, and applying engineering tools and processes in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Onsite work supports a comprehensive internship program.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Coursework or experience in manufacturing/design, thermodynamics/heat transfer, vibrations, materials, mechatronics, or statics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating in a multi-discipline team setting to solve complex engineering problems.
• Creating 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF product designs.
• Developing prototype hardware designs and coordinating fabrication.
• Performing hands on integration and test support for prototype hardware.
• Holding design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts.
