Job summary

Ōura is seeking a Technical Revenue Accounting and Policy Manager to shape how we recognize revenue globally. You will maintain ASC 606 policies, evaluate enterprise and channel arrangements, and document accounting conclusions with clear memos.

The role partners with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, FP&A and RevOps to influence contract structure before signing and ensures timely close. This remote US role demands strong writing, attention to detail, and independent, cross-functional influence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606 (Big 4 or national public accounting preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, including performance obligations, variable consideration, contract modifications, principal vs. agent, and standalone selling price concepts.
• Experience in technology, consumer products, subscription, and/or recurring revenue environments.
• Experience reviewing contracts and documenting accounting conclusions for revenue-related matters.
• Strong technical writing skills, including concise and well-structured policy memos.
• Comfort reading and interpreting contracts, including non-standard terms.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with ability to explain technical topics in business terms.
• Attention to detail, sound judgment, and a process-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ASC 606 policy framework to keep revenue policies current with products and pricing models.
• Deliver well-documented accounting conclusions on complex deals by reviewing arrangements and producing technical memos.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, FP&A, and RevOps to surface revenue considerations before deals are signed.
• Support timely, accurate revenue results through close-related activities.
• Create templates, checklists, and playbooks to scale revenue governance and automation opportunities.
