Job summary

Buyers Edge Platform, remote-based in Waltham, MA, seeks an Expense Consultant to partner with the CRO. You will coordinate analytics, customer lifecycle management, and pricing initiatives, enabling leadership to focus on revenue growth.

Build data integrity, support RFPs, and drive strategic projects across supplier relationships. The role emphasizes data analysis, spend management, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in customer success, sales operations, data analysis, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Demonstrated experience working with spend data, vendor contracts, or procurement analytics is a plus.
• Prior exposure to RFP/bid processes or B2B customer management highly desirable.
• Analytical rigor: proficiency in data organization, spend analysis, and reporting tools (Excel, etc.).
• Project management: ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder workflows and meet deadlines.
• Communication: exceptional written and verbal skills; comfortable liaising with leadership and clients.
• Customer orientation: experience in client-facing roles with a proactive, service-first mindset.
• Adaptability: proven ability to thrive in a fluid, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.
• Attention to detail: high accuracy in data handling, reporting, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operational Support (Vendors): Manage administrative and analytical workflows for complex vendor deals.
• Customer Success: Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for existing clients.
• Strategic Projects: Provide data-driven support for RFPs, bids, vendor negotiations, and internal pricing analysis.
• Prepare, clean, and organize customer spend data and utilization reports.
• Identify gaps where customers are not maximizing Prime Source programs or contracts.
• Support vendor analysis and purchasing data collection for negotiation and pricing strategy.
• Actively participate in bid and proposal development processes.
• Manage project coordination, documentation, and customer follow-up activities.
• Reduce administrative burden on the CRO through proactive ownership of analytical tasks.
