Job summary

ARAG Legal Insurance in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Client Revenue Specialist to coordinate billing, receivables, and premium administration for a designated book of business. You will collaborate with Client Managers to ensure financial accuracy and high client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in finance or accounting, an Associate’s degree in accounting, and strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required; insurance experience a plus.
• 2+ years’ experience in finance or accounting, required. Direct customer contact or customer service, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages an assigned portfolio of client accounts as the subject matter expert on billing, premium administration, receivables, account setup, and client inquiries.
• Partners with designated Client Managers to support client retention, financial accuracy, implementation activities, and overall client satisfaction.
• Owns financial administration of an assigned client portfolio, monitoring account health, receivables, premium activity, and issues.
• Maintains ownership of premium posting for assigned client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate application of premium remittances and resolution of posting discrepancies.
• Resolves premium application variances, payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and remittance exceptions to maintain accurate client balances.
• Prepares and analyzes audits of client accounts as needed to review proper premium application and client setup.
• Reconciles remittance details to membership records; works with client/broker/TPA for resolution.
• Contacts clients to resolve over/under payments and obtain past due premiums while safeguarding profitability and satisfaction.
• Interacts with clients to obtain supporting documentation and remittance files to properly apply premium payments.
• Develops relationships with Finance, Client Management, Client Support Services and EDI Analyst teams to ensure a positive customer experience for internal stakeholders.
• Responsible for managing the accounts receivable aging process.
