Job summary

IonQ, Inc. in College Park, MD, seeks a Senior Director, Revenue, to own the global revenue lifecycle and architect the deal strategy in partnership with Sales, Legal, and Finance.

You will lead a high-performing revenue team, oversee complex multi-year recognitions, and drive ERP/CRM modernization while guiding M&A integration and governance with auditors. Requires CPA and 13+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience at director level.
• Experience leading a revenue or technical accounting function in a publicly traded technology, aerospace/defense, or hardware manufacturing company.
• Deep expertise in ASC 606, including multi-element arrangements and cost-to-cost models.
• Track record scaling a revenue function and integrating acquired companies.

Responsibilities

• Architect Revenue Strategy & Policy: serve as a primary advisor during contract negotiations, aligning terms with ASC 606.
• Build and lead a high-performing revenue team, including Managers/Senior Managers.
• Own revenue recognition for complex, multi-year hardware builds and manufacturing environments.
• Bridge Finance and Operations to translate milestones into accurate revenue recognition.
• SOX & governance: manage external auditors and control documentation.
• Lead revenue aspects of M&A activities and post-acquisition integration.
• Drive ERP (NetSuite) and CRM optimization to automate revenue reporting.
