Goodwill San Francisco Bay seeks an experienced Retail Operations Manager to lead store-level operations, drive revenue growth, and manage budgets in a high-demand market.

You will oversee payroll, inventory control, donor and customer service, and staff development, while upholding Goodwill brand standards and community engagement. This role emphasizes leadership, training, and compliance across departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five years’ work experience in Retail Management, preferably thrift.
• Five years’ customer service experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to pass a background check, where applicable for position.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
• Monitors product levels daily to achieve bottom line sales budget against targets.
• Ensures payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
• Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Ensures store locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand appropriately.
• Partners with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission.
• Serves as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
• Ensures that store leadership are well-trained and fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
• Ensures that Donation Attendants demonstrate excellent customer service in receiving donations and that those donations are sorted and prepared for processing.
• Ensures that Team Members process, price, and display product per company standards and to achieve store goals.
• Ensures that Team Members are operating per company standards and procedures, relating to Security, Health and Safety; influences any changes necessary to meet statutory requirements, ensuring minimum risk to Team Members and the business.
• Partners with support areas to further business goals and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
• Responsible for performance management, staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members.
• Plays critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.
