Job summary

American Heart Association seeks a Development Director for Central Massachusetts (Worcester area) to drive revenue for Go Red for Women and Heart Walk campaigns. This home-office-based role requires frequent travel to meet sponsors and donors within the territory.

You will build relationships, present proposals, and recruit volunteer leadership while coordinating events with internal and external partners. Strong sales and fundraising experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75% locally and some overnight trips; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors and donors through research matching campaign goals.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit executive volunteer leadership and day-of-the-event volunteers.
• Recruit corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate fundraising.
• Coordinate a volunteer leadership committee for the Go Red for Women Luncheon.
• Lead Cor Vitae giving society engagement with fundraising staff.
• Plan and implement events with internal/external partners.
• Collaborate with Communications Director to support campaign communications.
