Job summary

Baptist Health Care is seeking a Revenue Cycle Training Specialist to lead onboarding, educate staff on policies and systems, and partner with leaders to assess readiness for independent work. This role develops curricula, materials, and job aids and delivers programs in classroom, online, and written formats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education, Health Care Management, Related field, or Social Work is required.
• Four years of related experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree is required.
• Two years of healthcare revenue cycle experience (patient access, financial assistance, insurance billing, patient and/or insurance collections, reimbursement, customer service, payer contracting, or coding) is required.
• 0-1 year experience as a trainer of revenue cycle is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and executes the yearly competency skill checks for CPFS/CPAS team members across the division.
• Completes EHR upgrade testing in conjunction with IT staff.
• Collaborates with division operational leaders to create detailed workflows and training curricula for revenue cycle in ambulatory and acute settings.
• Utilizes STARS and QA feedback to determine action plans and respond appropriately.
• Communicates regulation changes to team members and coordinates actions to achieve compliance.
• Maintains responsibility for implementing a patient management system with hospital operations and leadership.
• Conducts project activities using email, WebEx, and Webinar to document and execute project management principles.
