Job summary

SYSTEM West Virginia University Health System seeks an IT specialist focused on Revenue Cycle software. You will support Epic, Tableau, and clearinghouse applications, manage builds, and lead data-driven improvements across the revenue cycle.

The role involves testing, documentation, automation initiatives, and collaboration with IT and vendors to ensure reliable operations and optimal workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related discipline with 2 years' experience revenue cycle applications or
• High school diploma with 6 years' experience revenue cycle software applications
• Proficiency in Epic Resolute or similar module is preferred

Responsibilities

• Supports revenue cycle department applications (Epic, Tableau, Clearinghouse, etc) and maintains an understanding for supported applications
• Participates in monitoring and correcting system errors as assigned
• Knowledge of existing and optimal user workflows; analyzes and revises complex workflows
• Develops and maintains department databases and reports to assist in research and issue resolution
• Oversees system configurations and design options for maintenance or project decisions
• Prepares test scripts and participates in testing; documents issues and requests
• Independently imports and exports data
• Identifies automation opportunities and leads robotic process automation design and testing
• Acts as primary contact to IT, external vendors and help desk
• Participates in testing software upgrades for optimal functionality
• Documents issues per policy and requests
• Participates in vendor package builds/upgrades and enhancements
• Leads revenue cycle projects and escalates issues as needed
• Troubleshoots and isolates issues in department applications; helpdesk work is non-exempt
• Monitors application performance and makes improvement recommendations
• Works with IT to ensure timely data processing and prioritization of work
• Monitors system performance and efficiency
• Documents system specifications, configurations, and user guides
• Monitors automations in production
• Monitors efficiency metrics for design optimization
