Smith Mountain Lake Health & Rehab Center is seeking a results-driven Business Office Manager to lead revenue cycle operations in our skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on cash flow, AR aging reduction, and accurate billing collaboration with the team.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive, ensuring compliant operations and excellent service across departments while supporting Medicaid eligibility and insurance claim submissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in business or healthcare administration preferred.
• Minimum two years in a long-term care business office or related healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of health insurance payers (Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care) and Medicaid eligibility.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily business office operations, including census, deposits, and cash posting.
• Manage private pay collections, resident trust accounts, and Medicaid eligibility processes.
• Collaborate with billing team to ensure timely submission of insurance claims and resolve billing issues.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and professional communication with residents, families, and partners.
