Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Back-End Clerk in Charleston, SC to manage returns, RTV/RTM processes, and vendor coordination. You will handle documentation, shipment prep, and receipts, while maintaining accurate records and inventory accuracy across backrooms and store floors.

The role requires basic data entry, safety compliance, and collaboration with receiving and store teams to ensure smooth product flow. Prior experience with store inventory and returns is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience with store inventory receiving.
• 6 months of experience communicating with vendors or customers regarding returns.

Responsibilities

• Process customer returns in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Execute RTV and RTM processes, including documentation, packaging, and shipment preparation.
• Coordinate vendor credits and replacements as required, following guidelines.
• Sort and disposition returned merchandise based on condition and policy.
• Maintain accurate records of all return transactions and associated documentation.
• Assist with receiving shipments, including unloading trucks and verifying merchandise.
• Process receiving paperwork and update inventory systems accurately.
• Ensure merchandise is labeled, stored, and routed to correct locations.
• Support inventory accuracy through routine checks and report discrepancies.
• Generate and review standard reports related to returns and inventory.
• Coordinate with receiving and store teams to ensure efficient product flow.
• Maintain organization of backroom and return areas.
• Follow safety procedures related to material handling and hazardous items.
• Identify and properly handle hazardous or restricted items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Provide basic support for customer return inquiries when needed.
• Communicate with vendors or manufacturers to facilitate returns, credits, or replacements.
• Support administrative and logistical functions in Receiving Office; manage records and truck schedules.
• This role may be held accountable for other duties as assigned
