Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Back-End Clerk in the Receiving Office to support returns processing, RTV/RTM operations, and inventory handling. You will ensure accurate documentation, coordinate with vendors, and help maintain organized backroom areas to support efficient store operations.

Responsibilities include processing returns, updating inventory systems, and assisting with receiving and handoffs to sales floors while adhering to safety guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience processing and filing merchandise receiving paperwork.
• Experience with store inventory receiving and administration.
• Warehouse data entry or bookkeeping experience helpful.
• Experience communicating with vendors or customers regarding returns or contracts.
• Retail experience involving returns processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process customer returns per company policies.
• Execute RTV and RTM processes with documentation and packing.
• Coordinate vendor credits and replacements per guidelines.
• Sort and disposition returned merchandise based on condition.
• Maintain accurate records of all return transactions and docs.
• Assist with receiving shipments and verify merchandise against docs.
• Process receiving paperwork and update inventory systems.
• Ensure merchandise is labeled, stored, and routed correctly.
• Support inventory accuracy with routine checks and report discrepancies.
• Generate and review standard returns, damaged goods, and inventory reports.
• Coordinate with receiving and store teams for efficient product flow.
• Maintain organized backroom and return areas.
• Follow safety procedures for material handling and hazardous items.
• Provide basic support for customer return inquiries when needed.
• Communicate with vendors/manufacturers to facilitate returns, credits, or replacements.
