Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Back-End Clerk to support the Receiving Office and handle returns, vendor communications, and inventory documentation. The role involves processing returns, coordinating RTVs/RTMs, and maintaining accurate records across shipping and receiving processes.

You will assist with receiving shipments, update systems, and help ensure proper labeling, storage, and product routing while adhering to safety guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year handling merchandise receiving paperwork.
• 1 year of store inventory receiving and administration.
• 6 months warehouse data entry/bookkeeping.
• 6 months experience with vendor or customer returns/fulfillment.
• Retail experience with returns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process customer returns per policy.
• Execute RTV/RTM processes with documentation and packaging.
• Coordinate vendor credits and replacements.
• Sort and disposition returned merchandise by condition.
• Maintain records of returns and documentation.
• Assist receiving shipments and verify documents.
• Process receiving paperwork and update inventory systems.
• Ensure items are labeled, stored, and routed correctly.
• Support inventory accuracy with routine checks.
• Generate reports on returns, damaged goods, and inventory exceptions.
• Coordinate with store teams for product flow.
• Maintain backroom and return area organization.
• Follow safety procedures for material handling.
• Identify hazardous/restricted items per guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Provide basic support for customer return inquiries.
• Communicate with vendors/manufacturers to facilitate returns/credits.
• Back-End Clerk role supports Receiving Office with records and PO processing.
• Other duties as assigned.
