Job summary

Transdev North America, Inc. is seeking a Return-to-Work Coordinator to manage safe, timely return of injured employees to TAS operations.

You will coordinate cases, assess restrictions against duties, and identify suitable modified or transitional tasks that support recovery without compromising safety. You will collaborate with Safety, Operations, HR, supervisors, claims partners, and healthcare contacts to develop practical, durable return-to-work plans and maintain comprehensive case

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience coordinating return-to-work or related programs.
• Experience identifying modified tasks or transitional work that accommodates injuries or restrictions.
• Experience developing and monitoring individualized return-to-work or modified-duty plans.
• Ability to compare job demands with documented functional abilities and identify practical work options.
• Understanding of injury case coordination, confidentiality, and workplace accommodation concepts.
• Strong communication and collaboration with employees, supervisors, operations leaders, and external partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and maintaining accurate case records.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Safety team coordinator for injured employees returning to TAS operations.
• Maintain regular, respectful communication with employees throughout recovery and return-to-work.
• Review documentation of functional abilities and work restrictions, compare to job demands.
• Identify safe, productive modified duties and transitional assignments with Operations.
• Create written return-to-work plans with duties, restrictions, schedules, and durations.
• Ensure supervisors understand approved restrictions and modified duties.
• Monitor progress, schedule follow-ups, and update when restrictions change.
• Escalate conflicts with restrictions or lack of suitable work.
• Coordinate with HR, claims, medical contacts and partners as needed.
• Maintain TAS job demands library and updated task guidance.
• Support supervisors in meaningful work that respects temporary restrictions.
• Track case status, restricted days, lost-time days, and completion dates.
• Maintain accurate case notes, approvals, and documentation.
• Protect medical and sensitive information per policy.
• Identify barriers and propose process improvements.
