  • Ability to compare job demands with documented functional abilities and identify practical work options.
  • Understanding of injury case coordination, claim processes, confidentiality, and workplace accommodation concepts.

  • Review authorized documentation describing functional abilities and work restrictions, then compare those restrictions with job demands and operational tasks.
  • Partner with Operations and supervisors to identify safe, productive modified duties, transitional assignments, adjusted schedules, graduated hours, or other practical work strategies.
  • Create written return-to-work plans that clearly document approved duties, restrictions, schedules, responsibilities, review dates, and expected duration.
  • Confirm that supervisors understand the employee’s approved work restrictions and the boundaries of the modified-duty assignment.
  • Monitor employee progress, follow up at established intervals, and coordinate updates when restrictions or operational conditions change.
  • Escalate concerns when an assignment may conflict with documented restrictions, create a safety risk, or no suitable work is available.
  • Coordinate information and next steps with Human Resources, claims administrators, medical or occupational-health contacts when authorized, and other approved partners.
  • Maintain a current library of TAS job demands, physical requirements, and potential modified- duty tasks across operational teams.
  • Support supervisors in identifying meaningful work that accommodates temporary restrictions while preserving operational value.
  • Track case status, restricted-duty days, lost-time days, return-to-work dates, plan completion, and other approved program measures.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, correspondence, approvals, and supporting documentation in approved systems.
  • Protect medical, employee, claim, and operational information and share it only with authorized individuals who have a business need to know.
