Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Retirement Programs Manager to lead the governance, fiduciary oversight, and financial stewardship of the company’s retirement plans, including 401(k), ESOP, and executive deferred compensation. You will influence plan design, risk management, and compliance while guiding retirement operations and vendor relationships.

You will partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and technology teams to implement enhancements, ensure regulatory adherence (ERISA/IRS/DOL), and support

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in qualified and non-qualified plan administration and governance.
• ESOP administration preferred.
• Experience leading HR professionals with coaching and strategy.
• Vendor and project management experience required.
• Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills.
• Deep expertise in ERISA, IRS and DOL regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead retirement program strategy and governance aligning with business needs.
• Oversee enrollment, contributions, diversification, distributions, and calculations.
• Manage vendor relationships and retirement operations.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence in retirement programs.
• Provide analysis and strategic guidance on retirement trends, risks, and costs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Legal, and Technology on cross-functional initiatives.
• Oversee audits, filings, and testing related to retirement plans.
