Job summary

Forvis Mazars US is seeking a Retirement Senior Manager to lead strategy, governance, and operations of the firm’s retirement programs, including 401(k) and profit-sharing plans. You will own design, compliance, and participant experience while serving as the technical SME on plan design and fiduciary oversight.

In this role, you’ll partner with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, and vendors to modernize processes, enhance controls, and scale retirement operations for a growing professional services firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years in retirement plan administration, governance and operations.
• Hands-on experience with 401(k) and profit-sharing plans, audits, and fiduciary governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, design, governance, and administration for 401(k) and profit-sharing plans.
• Oversee plan compliance including census prep, nondiscrimination testing, Form 5500, audits, notices, and corrections.
• Own annual profit-sharing calculations and allocations with Finance, vendors, and auditors.
• Serve as primary technical contact for recordkeepers, advisors, counsel, consultants, and plan auditors.
• Advance fiduciary governance by documenting decisions and ensuring standards align with regulatory requirements.
• Lead complex retirement issues, corrections, and audit findings, including transitions and distributions for executives.
• Support M&A and new entity integrations affecting retirement programs.
