Job summary

SpotOn in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to own analytics for merchant retention and our SaaS business. This hybrid role requires 3-4 days in the SF office and offers a path to influence decisions across Finance, Sales, Product, and Engineering.

You’ll build dashboards, identify drivers of retention and software adoption, and partner with cross-functional teams to turn insights into action. Strong SQL, Power BI, and Python skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Analytics, BI, or a related analytical role, ideally with experience in the Software industry.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience working in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience with customer retention analyses and dashboards.
• Experience translating data into clear business recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own the analytics that power SpotOn's merchant retention and SaaS business.
• Identify the drivers behind merchant retention, churn, and software adoption.
• Build trusted dashboards and analyses used by executives and cross-functional leaders.
• Partner with Product, Customer Success, Finance, Sales, and Engineering to turn insights into action.
• Create scalable reporting, data models, and AI-powered workflows that reduce manual work and improve decision making.
